Community Development
In the tradition of the Helpers (Ansaar) of Madina who took personal care of the migrating refugees of Makkah (Muhajiroon) by assisting them with their re-settlement as well as moral and emotional support, the Ansaar programme seeks to reach out to and assist the New Muslims, International Students and families of remote country towns of Australia. Be amongst the Ansaar and help those families and individuals who need a helping hand as well as a lasting friendship.
Philanthropy Project
Al-Ghazzali Centre is undertaking a significant project in collaboration with Canterbury City Council, to regenerate fauna and flora along Cooks River. Al-Ghazzali Centre is developing a sustainable ecology program with Canterbury City Council to include the establishment, protection and maintenance of the natural ecosystems and wildlife corridor to regenerate this environmental disaster zone. Everyone is urged to join in this large project.
Community Development
The al-Ghazzali Centre will be holding a monthly moon sighting exercise to establish the lunar calendar for Muslims in Australia. Everyone is invited to participate in this program. Observers from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth are particularly invited to form groups and take advice from ourselves, and report to us on the moon sighting.
Morning Invocations Community Development
A Morning of Rememberance of Allah, after Fajr with the beauty of Sunrise to break the Dawn followed by a brisk Walk by the Waters and free light breakfast. Everyone is encouraged to bring food and hot drinks, as well as ground spreads with them to share.
Xpresso Community Development
Within a social and informal setting, XpressO is a forum to allow the public to discuss relevant and important issues affecting our society and daily lives. From current affairs to intellectual reflections about the Divine, XpressO hosts prominent and influential speakers to shed light on the issues on hand.
The Crescent Project Philanthropy Project
Leading from the example of action in feeding the homeless the last Ramadhan, the al-Ghazzali Centre is seeking committed volunteers to participate in a monthly effort to provide some comfort to the less fortunate of Sydney. .
Mizaan Living Community Development
Mizaan is an initiative of al-Ghazzali Centre for Islamic Sciences & Human Development- working towards bringing "balance" back into our lives. As part of its "learn & practice" health & wellbeing program, Mizaan invites you to join in on the next exciting event!
